Jonny's Birthday

Jonny invited some boys from school and church for a birthday party yesterday. We took them to Papa John's pizza. It was pretty good pizza but of course we haven't had any for over a month so anything would taste good to us. This is the gang. After pizza we walked over to McDonald's to get ice cream. They have the best ice cream here. It actually tastes the same and is really cheap. The cones are only 50 cents. We would hardly ever eat at McDonald's in the states but it's become our favorite place here because it's the only thing that tastes good at times. We were quite the spectacle with all these american boys. We got quite a few stares.
This was an item on the menu at Papa John's. Peking Duck Pizza. I don't think we will be trying it. If we are going to pay for pizza then I want the closest I can get to the real thing.
Jonny opened a few presents after their long game of football (notice how sweaty the boys are). They played for about two hours and loved it. They didn't care how sweaty and stinky they got. Jonny got this Phoenix Suns jersey with shorts from the triplets (one of them, Derrick, is in the background). Old Shekou has basketball jerseys for really cheap but they don't have many teams. Of course they have the Rockets but this time they had the Suns. I was happy with that. They will always be my favorite (Coree).

If you left a couple of sentences out, one wouldn't even know you were in China. Aren't American restaurants the best when you are in a foreign country. It is so fun to read your blog and you all are doing so well!
