Today we took a bus to the Futian District of Shenzhen. A friend of ours from Church invited us over to visit a park near their house. On the way there we went through the downtown area of Shenzhen where there is some incredible architecture. On this building there is this giant horse jumping out of the left side of the building and King Triton coming out of the right side of the building. During the bus ride an older lady came right up to Nicole and started talking to her in Chinese and Nicole actually had a conversation with her. It was pretty amazing.
The deeper we go into China the more amazed people are at seeing foreigners. When we got to the park a big crowd of people came over and just started watching us. They want to get pictures and just watch. In these pictures they are just watching Nicole put together this kite. They are extremely nice.
This lady with the yellow shirt just kept staring at Nicole. The little boy with the red backpack on sells kites for 5 rmbs ($0.75). I felt sorry for the kids selling the kites because it looks like that was their only source of income.
