Thailand

We were a little concerned about our trip to Thailand because of the airport situation but are glad to say that it is still on. With the airport opening up we can continue with our plans. We leave in one week so it was cutting it close. It was never an issue of our safety but more whether or not we would even be able to fly into Bangkok. We will just stay clear of the protests and once we get to the island of Koh Chang we will be fine. I am looking forward to just relaxing on a beach and not having to do anything. That's the best Christmas present ever. The kids were excited to hear that the trip was back on. I don't think they wanted to spend our entire vacation here in Shekou.

These past two weeks have been busy. We had narratives due last week. Teachers were required to write one for each of our students. Thank goodness for small class sizes because that meant only about 50 narratives for me. Then grades were due this week for the second quintile.

Gavin was in Hong Kong last weekend for a basketball tournament and leaves tonight on an overnight campout with the scouts. Rachel finished up the school play last night. She was on the stage crew. Jonny leaves for a Rugby tournament in Guangzhou today. I've been busy with the Christmas music program which is next week. I'm on the committee. Nicole has been busy socializing and Vika is busy just being cute. She has a modeling shoot this week and was practicing her "Top Model" moves last night. Good thing she loved watching that show and remembers the moves.

I'll post more pictures next time.
