QSI Classroom

I thought it would be interesting to some to see what our school is like here so I took the camera one day to try to capture what it is like here. This is my 13 year old Reading/Literature Arts class. They call the classes by age rather than grade so this would be equivalent to an 8th grade class in the states. I only have 10 students in this class which is really nice.
This is inside my classroom. The rooms are rather small because the class sizes are small. It is so much better teaching in a small setting. The focus is really on learning and not classroom management.
Every Wednesday we have an assembly with all the middle school in the library. The students at our school come from all over the world. Most of our students are from Korea, Malaysia, or other Asian countries. Chinese nationals aren't allowed to go to our school because of government restrictions. They don't want them learning the "Western" way. Although most of the students are Asian, we have students from Canada, US, Brazil, Iceland, Norway, India, Australia, Holland, Russia, Israel, and many more. It is interesting learning about their cultures. Our kids have made some really good friends here. It's been a great experience for them to learn about cultures from all over the world.
