Santa in China

Yes, Santa does come to China. Vika was able to see Santa and receive an early Christmas present from him at our QSI kids Christmas party.
Vika was very happy to get a Cinderella polly pocket doll from Santa.
Rachel and Vika participated in a Reindeer run at the party and blew the competition away.
After the party we went to McDonald's and this little Asian woman dressed in a Santa dress was passing out miniature ice cream cones. I tried to get a picture of the little "Santa's Elf" but I couldn't get a good picture. They really are trying to get the spirit of Christmas a little more each year.

Gavin and I went to the Hong Kong Temple and on the way there on the bus we saw this "Home Depot", at least the Chinese version. They seemed to have everything you would need from drawer handles to mops but not quite the variety.
Hong Kong really knows how to celebrate Christmas. The mall near the temple has a Christmas tree that is 4 stories high. Pretty amazing and beautiful.
