Jonny was able to complete and receive his Eagle Project before we left China. His project was creating a flyer informing Chinese fisherman on Hai Nan Island about the conservation of sea turtles. He then organized a group to distribute the flyers consisting of students from his school and a local Chinese school on the island. Rachel and Jonny were part of a group from QSI to go to Hai Nan Island to participate in the Sea Turtle 911 conservation group. Jonny was able to combine his Eagle Project with this trip.

Here Jonny is pinning the pin onto Gavin.

Gavin, who was also Jonny's scout leader, pinning his Eagle Project award on his uniform.

The scouting program is small but strong in China. Gavin was able to form the first international scout troop in Shenzhen China.
