Mount Timp

Here are a few more pictures from the top. Mount Timp is 11,749 feet. On the west side of the mountain it was windy and cold but you move just a few feet to the east and it's probably 30 degrees warmer. You can see where we are sitting it's pretty cold, but you can see the guy a few feet to our right was comfortable sitting behind the rocks.

Do you see the glacier to the right of the picture? We are going to hike over to that and literally slide down it. It took us about an hour and a half to hike up from the lake you see below us and it will take us about 10 minutes to slide down. It's definately worth sliding down.

That is so high! I could never just sit on a rock that high up. Ya'll look very at ease.

I was going to say in the post that it wasn't nearly as dangerous as it appeared. That one picture with Rachel and Jonny looks like they are sitting on the edge of this monster cliff, but it was a little trick photography. Our camera has a pop out view finder like a camcorder, so you can hold the camera above your head to get a different angle. So it kind of looks like they are sitting on the edge, but you can see there are a bunch of people sitting below them that are totally safe.
