About an hour into our hike we hiked into a heard of mountain goats. This was totally unexpected. We saw some from a distance and we thought that was as close as we were likely to get, but then we came over this rise and there they were right in front of us. They didn't seem too bothered by our presence because we were able to get really close. In fact they started following us because I think they thought we were going to give them food. They even had the newborns.
