Preparations For Our Move

Some of you may already know that we are moving to Shekou, China. If you look on a map Shekou is about 20 miles west of Hong Kong and it was the first area in China designated as a special economic zone where free market capitalism was allowed to flourish. Not only has capitalism flourished but Shekou and the surrounding area has the highest per capita income in China. We are very excited to learn everything we can about the culture and people of China.

While we are there we will be teaching at a K-12 international school. Rachel will be in 10th grade, Jonny will be in 7th, Nicole will be in 3rd and Vika will start pre-school next year.

There are a lot of things to do before we move. Today we got our passports and it was surprisingly expensive. We also put our house up for sale and several people are coming to look at it today.
